Greetings, travelers! We continue to talk about different WoW: Classic aspects. Today we will talk about one of the essential elements of Vanilla WoW — Gold Making and how it might work in the upcoming Classic. In this article, we will go through the basics of gold farming, talk about different approaches and discover some tips and tricks to make your gold farming efficient. Classic WoW is all about efficiency, especially in the matter of money making. While in Battle for Azeroth and the previous expansions we got used to the gold as a fast moving currency that comes and goes easily, gold in WoW Classic actually matters. It is often earned through manual labor at a low rate, around 20 to cookig gold per hour at best.

I forgot my password. Gold is very easy to come by in retail World of Warcraft nowadays. Daily Quests, Auction House, Professions, and even things like WoW Tokens provide Players with a wide variety of Goldmaking possibilities, not to mention that Everybody gets new Skills for free after leveling up. This comfortable state of affairs results in people not appreciating the value of the WoW’s in-game currency. However, things look much different in WoW: Classic. With this Guide, we will try to prepare you for Classic’s economic every-day reality by comparing all Professions and helping you choose the ones that will earn you the most Gold during your adventure in Azeroth. On the other hand, if you are more of a Fighter that prefers to take Gold from your enemies’ dead bodies, rather than being a Gatherer or Crafter, check out our guide on WoW’s Best Farming locations. Please keep that in mind, and if you notice a piece of information that you don’t agree with please let us know, and we will do our best to update and correct it. Making a real fortune in Classic is quite an achievement.
Professions
Forgot your password? Cooking allows players to create food and drinks for players to consume to regenerate health and resources. This is a secondary profession, meaning it does not take up one of the primary slots that others would, such as Blacksmithing or Mining. If you are going to level up Cooking, we recommend leveling it alongside Fishing , as you can use most of the fish that you catch to level up Cooking. Just as with Fishing , you can learn Cooking from any of the Cooking trainers, but you cannot learn Expert and Artisan Cooking from trainers. Rather than completing low level quests for Cooking recipes, you can visit Kendor Kabonka in Stormwind City to buy quest reward recipes. Note that there is no Horde-only equivalent to this vendor. Kendor Kabonka sells the following recipes:. Expert Cooking can only be learned after buying a cookbook from a vendor of your faction. The book is called Expert Cookbook and costs 1 gold.

Gold is a lot harder to come by in the old school WoW, and you’ll need it for a variety of things to make your life easier when playing. It’s important to understand that Gold is a lot harder to make in the Classic version of World of Warcraft. Players who played back when the game first came out remember the long grind from levels 30 to 40 where you had to save up a bunch of Gold to get your first mount. This is incredibly important, because you will want a mount immediately. Getting around in the game is a huge pain, you’ll be bound to flight paths and running around slowly to get to where you need to go. Your first mount in Classic is one of the big upgrades you get, and it makes getting around the map a whole lot easier. One of the best ways to make gold is to take up professions very early in the game, basically as soon as they are available. Gathering professions in particular are the best for making money. You’ll want to pick two from Mining, Herbalism, and Skinning. Pick whichever you think will mesh the best with what profession you might want to do when you are level You should do these while you level up, because your ability to obtain the resources is bound by your skill level in the particular gathering profession. In normal World of Warcraft, you can gather whatever you want and still gain skill points and obtain materials.

Secondary professions are great. Oily Blackmouth will be needed by alchemists and always be great for money. Until the economy builds up I plan on converting my cloth into bandages and just vendoring them for some decent cash. Fishing becomes quite lucrative if you get it maxed. Some fish are needed for Alchemist potions which are used for raids. At max level stages you can cook food and plop a stack on the auction house — it will be sure to sell. Both used by alchemists so sell. Always a good seller. Plus they are fun to mess. Not a super source of income, but part of something that sometimes ya just want to chat and can be fishing same time. OH, almost forgot, some hunter pets eat fish and if they need food, they may just buy a stack of the right level fish to keep their pets happy or to use for your own hunter pet if you are hunter.
